Raipur, July 22 -- The Congress blocked roads across all 33 districts of Chhattisgarh today as a statewide economic blockade in protest against the arrest of erstwhile chief minister Bhupesh Baghel's son Chaitanya by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
Since morning, Congress workers took to the streets in Surguja, Bastar, Durg, Bilaspur and Raipur divisions. In Surguja, the protesters chanted Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram. Congress workers jammed the VIP Road, Shriram Mandir Chowk (Currency Tower), Dharsiwa, Dhaneli and many other arterial routes here. National highways were also not spared. A demonstration took place at Sehradabri signal on NH-30 at Dhamtari and witnessed participation by workers from three assembly constituencies.
