Lucknow, Aug. 14 -- On Partition Horrors Remembrance Day, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath lashed out at the Congress, referring to the Partition of 1947 as a "dark chapter" that was a result of appeasement politics that broke Sanatan Bharat's harmony and caused deep injuries to the country.
He gave the credit of bringing back this forgotten history to Prime Minister Narendra Modi by proclaiming the day in 2021. "Today, the whole nation grieves, recalling the atrocities of August 14, 1947," he added.
The Chief Minister's remarks came when he inaugurated an exhibition to commemorate 'Partition Horrors Remembrance Day'.
