Amaravati, May 23 -- Conditions are likely to become favourable for the onset of the Southwest Monsoon over Kerala during the next two days, the Meteorological Centre said on Friday.
In its daily weather report, the Centre also stated that favourable conditions are expected for the further advance of the Southwest Monsoon over additional areas during the same period.
These include some more parts of the South Arabian Sea, the remaining parts of the Maldives and Comorin area, parts of the Lakshadweep area, Kerala, parts of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, as well as more areas of the South and Central Bay of Bengal, North Bay of Bengal, and some parts of the northeastern states.
