Srinagar, Sept. 16 -- Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today said union Minister Nitin Gadkari has assured him that concrete steps will be taken within 24 hours to address the road connectivity issue.

There has been mounting frustration among the fruit growers, whose produce has remained stranded for over two weeks due to the closure of the Srinagar-Jammu highway.

In a social media post Omar said he spoke to the union Minister regarding the situation along national highway and the lack of connectivity with the rest of the country along this vital link.
