Ambala, May 9 -- Amid escalation between India and Pakistan, the local administration in Haryana on Friday issued an order directing complete blackout during night hours in Ambala.
The order, issued by District Magistrate Ajay Singh Tomar, under section 163 of Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, said the use of inverter, generator and any other power backup used for outdoor lights, bill board, street lights etc. from sunset to sunrise (2000 hrs to 0600 hrs) is totally banned in district of Ambala till further orders.
The order added that these may be used for indoor use on the condition that all the doors and windows are fully covered by thick curtains, so as to ensure no light comes out.
