Dharamshala, Jan. 5 -- The Kangra district administration has imposed a complete ban on all trekking activities above 3,000 metres in view of tourist safety, District Magistrate Hemraj Bairwa has said.
Issuing orders on behalf of the District Disaster Management Authority, the Deputy Commissioner also laid down strict guidelines for trekking on popular routes such as Kareri, Triund and Aadi Himani Chamunda.
Prior permission from the office of the Superintendent of Police, Kangra, has been made mandatory for trekking on these routes.
