Chandigarh, Feb. 27 -- Punjab Chief Secretary (CS) Anurag Verma on Tuesday asked officers to immediately complete the ongoing development work near International Cricket Stadium Mullanpur, New Chandigarh for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) games.

Verma presided over a review meeting here with officials as also and representatives of Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) to review the progress of ongoing engineering and civil works near Mullanpur Cricket Stadium.

The Chief Secretary said the cricket stadium will act as a catalyst for the development of the entire region. He said the Punjab Government is committed to provide the best and suitable infrastructure for sports in the state.
