Ranchi, Dec. 18 -- A written complaint has been lodged against Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at Itki Police Station here.
The complaint was filed by social activist Mohammad Murtaza Alam.
According to the complaint submitted to the police, the incident occurred during a public appointment letter distribution programme, where it is alleged that the hijab of a woman was pulled. The complainant stated that the matter cannot be treated as a personal issue, as it took place on a public platform and has now entered the public domain.
The complaint further alleged that such behaviour involving religious attire on a public stage is objectionable and amounts to a direct violation of a woman's dignity, modesty and bodily autonomy. It has been ...
