Mumbai, May 3 -- Pointing that community radio is a very important medium to reach every corner of society, Union Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting L Murugan on Saturday made an appeal that community radio in the country should provide a platform to every section of the society through this medium.
While guiding inauguration of eighth National Community Radio Conference on occasion of the ongoing 'WAVES 2025' global conference here, he said that the programmes of community radio reflect the feelings of the local community, its culture, art, literature, and cuisine.
He also appealed community radios to make maximum use of technology in the future and reach out to as many communities as possible.
