Thiruvananthapuram, June 12 -- A committee headed by Kerala Chief Secretary will be formed to discuss the proposed alignment for the Thiruvananthapuram Metro Rail.

A decision in this regard was taken at a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

The committee, which will examine the relevant matters and submit recommendations, will consist of secretaries of the Revenue, Finance, Local Self-Government, and Transport departments.

Meanwhile, Lok Sabha member Dr Shashi Tharoor said the discussion concluded with the Chief Minister deciding to constitute an advisory committee to consult stakeholders on some of my proposals for the first phase.
