Committee to be formed to resolve power employees' issues: Bhatti Vikramarka

Hyderabad, April 12 -- Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu, who is holding Finance and Power portfolios, on Sunday announced that a committee comprising senior officials will be constituted to address the issues of power sector employees.

The assurance came during a meeting with leaders of the Electricity Employees' Joint Action Committee (JAC) at Praja Bhavan in Hyderabad. The JAC leaders raised concerns over reports of possible privatisation of power distribution companies (DISCOMs).

Responding to these concerns, the Deputy Chief Minister categorically stated that there would be no privatisation of DISCOMs under any circumstances and urged leaders to counter misinformation on the issue.
