New Delhi, Nov. 20 -- Delhi Minister Ashish Sood on Wednesday alleged that over the past ten years, due to the "collusion" between the garbage mafia and certain contractors, the waste management system in most parts of the city has deteriorated.
Sood, who conducted an inspection on the cleanliness and waste management conditions of different areas under the Janakpuri assembly constituency, strongly reprimanded officials of MCD and PWD, instructing them to pay attention to all the issues in the area, failing which strict action would be taken.
The minister, while speaking to reporters said that it is the responsibility of every public representative to reach out to the public and listen to their issues, and provide solutions.
