Kolkata, Sept. 22 -- A physics lecturer was arrested today from her Kasba residence along with her adult daughter and son for the alleged abduction of a five-year-old street girl from Dum Dum station area, police sources said.
Police said the lecturer was identified as Arunima Chandra (55).
Local residents who informed the Sinthi police station in North Kolkata about the girl's absence said the child remained untraced since the day of Vishwakarma Puja, September 17 from her footpath home in Dum Dum station area.
The police following CCTV footage began a hunt and this morning found the girl in the custody of the lecturer at her Kasba residence.
