Aizawl, Jan. 6 -- An intense cold wave is expected to prevail across Aizawl and other parts of Mizoram from Tuesday through Saturday, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The IMD's Meteorological Centre in Aizawl said minimum temperatures in the state capital and several districts could dip to between 4 and 6 degrees Celsius during the period. However, IMD Aizawl Director Sudheer Kumar Dwivedi indicated that a gradual improvement in temperatures is likely, particularly in Aizawl city.
