Ranchi, Nov. 21 -- People across Jharkhand have finally experienced relief from the biting winter chill, as temperatures in most parts of the state have risen to normal levels.

For several days, cold north-westerly winds blowing from the Himalayas had caused a sharp dip in temperatures, leading to severe cold conditions across many districts. However, with the weakening of these winds, the minimum temperature has gradually begun to climb.

According to the Meteorological Department, just three days ago, most districts recorded minimum temperatures between 6degC and 9degC. Now, areas such as West and East Singhbhum and Seraikela are likely to see temperatures rise to around 16degC.
