Pune, Dec. 8 -- Large parts of Maharashtra are witnessing a sharp fall in minimum temperatures, with a cold wave particularly affecting the eastern Vidarbha region.
North Maharashtra, too, is experiencing intensified cold, and the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that the chilly conditions are likely to continue for some more days.
A few isolated places in East Vidarbha are experiencing cold-wave conditions. The IMD has issued a Yellow Alert for the region. Over the next few days, temperatures across the rest of the state are also expected to drop further, IMD said today.
