New Delhi, Jan. 12 -- The Delhi government has decided to extend winter holidays until January 15 as severe cold accompanied by wind has gripped the national Capital. The winter holidays began on January 1. Keeping in mind the safety of students, classes beginning from nursery to 8 will remain shut as per orders of the Directorate of Education (DoE).
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issue orange and yellow warnings while stating that cold to severe cold wave conditions are likely to continue across Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand for the next two-three days.
