Imphal, Feb. 17 -- Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI), an apex body of Manipur civil society appealed to the Manipur Governor A B Bhalla on Monday to intervene in addressing the ongoing crisis that has severely impacted the political, social, and economic stability of Manipur.
A statement from Raj Bhawan said the Governor heard the concerns raised by COCOMI and asked them to cooperate with the Government in the run-up to restore harmony.
A team of COCOMI led by Khuraijam Athouba, Convenor COCOMI submitted a memorandum to the Governor on Monday informing him that the people of Manipur expect the establishment of a duly elected government within this month to ensure democratic governance and effective decision-making.
