Kochi, Feb. 26 -- Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) has achieved a significant milestone with the steel-cutting ceremony for a state-of-the-art hybrid Service Operation Vessel (SOV) ordered by a UK company.
The ceremony was officiated by James Bradford, Chief Technology Officer at the Aberdeen-based North Star Shipping, the company which placed the order. Bradford initiated the cutting of the first steel on Tuesday in the presence of Sreejith K. Narayanan (Director, Operations),. Harikrishnan S. (Executive Director, Shipbuilding), and other senior officials from CSL and representatives from the classification society DNV.
