Kochi, Aug. 24 -- Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL), hailed as a "public-friendly model" in the aviation sector, has generated over 30,000 jobs while adopting cutting-edge technological innovations, said Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

Addressing the Kerala Aviation Summit 2025, the Chief Minister underlined the need for a well-planned growth strategy in the aviation industry.

"Capital costs should be reduced, and passengers must be assured of timely and hassle-free travel," he said.

Highlighting the critical role of airports in the state's economy, Vijayan said they serve as key drivers of tourism, support Kerala's diaspora, and attract fresh investments.
