Srinagar, Dec. 17 -- In a major crackdown on organised drug trafficking, Jammu and Kashmir Police have recovered cocaine worth over Rs 10 crore and arrested two drug peddlers, officials said on Wednesday.

Police said the operation was launched as part of a focused drive in Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir against the procurement and sale of high-value narcotic substances such as cocaine and heroin, dealing a significant blow to drug networks operating in the region.

They said during a series of special naka checking operations conducted on December 12, Ganderbal police apprehended a drug peddler Mohammad Irfan Bhat of Kharbagh Wakura, Ganderbal.
