Bhubaneswar, March 28 -- Coal India Limited Chairman B Sairam has underscored the company's strategic push toward solar and other renewable energy sources, while reaffirming its commitment to sustainable coal mining.
During his visit to the Talcher Coalfields under Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) on Saturday, Sairam reviewed key mining operations and infrastructure developments.
Addressing the media, he highlighted the adoption of advanced technologies such as silos and the Automated Truck Loading System (ATLS) to effectively reduce dust pollution.
"Coal India currently meets nearly 80 percent of the nation's energy needs, and this role will continue for a long time," Sairam stated.
