Lucknow, Dec. 8 -- The political atmosphere in Uttar Pradesh heated up over the issue of illegal immigrants and setting up of detention centres. Amidst this, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has written a letter to the people of the state, appealing to them to be vigilant and stating that illegal immigrants cannot be given protection at any cost.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath posted this appeal on X. In the letter addressed to the people of the state, he said that the recent comments by the Courts have made it clear that illegal immigrants cannot be given protection at any cost.
He said that the first right to government resources belongs to the citizens of the state, not to those residing illegally.
