Lucknow, Nov. 20 -- Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday approved 95 new projects aimed at further strengthening the state's canal system during a comprehensive review meeting of the Irrigation and Water Resources Department here on Wednesday.

He said these projects would significantly boost the agricultural sector by ensuring timely and reliable irrigation for farmers. Once completed, the projects, worth Rs39,453.39 lakh, will restore irrigation capacity across 36,000 hectares, directly benefiting nearly 9 lakh farmers and rural communities. In addition, 273 hectares of departmental land will be safeguarded.
