Kannur, Aug. 12 -- Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has asserted that no incident disrupting the peaceful lives of citizens should be allowed in the State.

He stressed that the police must act decisively against illegal activities without waiting for permission from any quarter while inaugurating 13 police projects - both completed and newly launched across the state - at the Dinesh auditorium here on Tuesday.

Mr Pinarayi Vijayan, who was also holding the home affairs portfolio, said, "Kerala remains a state where peace and harmony prevail, but deliberate attempts are being made to disrupt this atmosphere. These efforts are often politically or communally motivated, and their intensity may increase in the future," he warned.
