Guwahati, April 8 -- As Assam entered the 15th day of the 21-day nationwide lockdown to fight spread of COVID 19, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today urged the people to maintain communal harmony while also following the lockdown and Health department guidelines to contain the virus.

Sonowal, who toured the three southern districts in Barak Valley of the state, met religious leaders at Silchar of Cachar district and called upon everybody to rise in unison to deal with the extraordinary situation arising out of COVID 19 pandemic.
