Bengaluru, Jan. 2 -- : Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday ordered an enquiry into the clash outside BJP MLA G Janardhana Reddy's residence in Ballari, which left a young Congress party worker dead.

Speaking to reporters, Siddaramaiah said he had ordered an enquiry into the incident, including the source of the gunfire and how the clash began.

"There were gunmen, and bullets were fired in the air. One person, Rajshekar, died," he added.

The incident occurred when Congress MLA Nara Bharath Reddy and BJP MLA G Janardhana Reddy's supporters clashed outside Janardhana Reddy's residence. Tensions erupted after Janardhana Reddy's supporters objected to putting up banners for an event to install a Valmiki statue on January 3. A verb...
