Patna, March 1 -- Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday reviewed performance of Excise and Prohibition department to assess how effectively prohibition was being implemented in the state.
Kumar during review meeting, directed the officials to ensure that liquor ban could be implemented effectively in all parts of the state. Those found involved in violation of liquor ban should not be spared at all, he added.
"Crime control should be on top of priority of the police administration and there should be strict vigil on those trying to create disturbance and violence in the society", the Chief Minister said, adding that there was need to be extra alert to maintain law and order during the festivals.
