Hyderabad, Nov. 20 -- Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Thursday urged the Centre to consider implementing Telangana's successful fine rice distribution model across the country, stating that the initiative has reduced PDS rice recycling and stabilised open-market prices.
Revanth Reddy shared his views during a meeting with union Minister for Food and Civil Supplies Prahlad Joshi at Hotel Taj Krishna here.
The Chief Minister explained that Telangana is the only state distributing fine-quality rice through ration shops on such a large scale, ensuring that beneficiaries receive rice they actually prefer to consume.
