Hyderabad, Sept. 15 -- Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has directed officials to ensure effective supervision and maintenance of LED street lights across Telangana.

He said the responsibility of installing and managing LED lights in villages should rest with the respective sarpanches, while Gram Panchayats should be given full authority to add new lights as required.

The Chief Minister instructed the Panchayat Raj Department to conduct a survey to check the functionality of existing LED lights and assess the requirement for new ones.
