New Delhi/Hyderabad, Sept. 10 -- Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy met union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in Delhi and sought the transfer of 98.20 acres of Defence land to the state government for the proposed Gandhi Sarovar Project.
The Chief Minister explained today that the project, planned at the confluence of the Musi and Isa rivers, would feature the "Gandhi Circle of Unity" as its centrepiece. He said the Gandhi Sarovar would serve as a symbol of national integration and Gandhian values, while also becoming a cultural and recreational landmark.
