Hyderabad, March 21 -- Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has directed officials to remain on high alert after the Meteorological Department issued warnings of strong winds and heavy rains in the joint Adilabad and joint Karimnagar districts on Saturday.

In response to the forecast, the Chief Minister instructed officials from all departments to take necessary precautions to prevent any inconvenience to the public.

He emphasised the need for proactive measures to minimise the risk of loss of life and property, an official statement said on Friday.

Revanth Reddy also directed Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari to immediately hold a teleconference with district collectors to assess the situation and ensure preparedness.
