CM receives report on Karnataka 40 pc Commission allegations
Bengaluru, March 13 -- The Justice HN Nagamohan Das Commission, constituted to investigate the '40% commission' allegations against the previous BJP administration in Karnataka, submitted its extensive 20,000-page report to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Wednesday.
The '40% commission' controversy played a crucial role in the Congress party's campaign during the 2023 Karnataka Assembly elections, ultimately contributing to its victory. The Karnataka State Contractors' Association had alleged that commissions exceeding 40% were being demanded in government tenders, prompting demands for an in-depth inquiry.
