Hyderabad, Aug. 16 -- With the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicting moderate to heavy rainfall in several districts, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has placed the entire state administration on high alert.
The IMD said Nizamabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Vikarabad, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem and Khammam are likely to witness heavy rains. Fifteen districts recorded heavy rainfall in the past 24 hours, while Jagtial, which earlier reported deficit rainfall, has also received heavy showers since Friday night.
Reviewing the situation on Saturday morning, the Chief Minister directed officials to deploy NDRF and SDRF teams in advance and coordinate with district Collectors for relief operations. Families in low-...
