Srinagar, Sept. 5 -- Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today chaired a high-level meeting to review the post-flood situation in the union Territory and issued a series of directions to the administration for immediate relief and safety measures.
In a post on X, Chief Minister's office said that Omar instructed officials to reinforce vulnerable spots, ensure evacuation of individuals from inundated villages, and provide round-the-clock surveillance through control rooms.
He also called for frequent visits to affected areas and timely advisories to the public, urging residents to stay alert, avoid panic, and extend cooperation to the administration.
