Chandigarh, April 30 -- Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is set to officially launch the state's census drive on Thursday from Sangrur, introducing a digital self-enumeration portal that allows citizens to submit their details online.

Running from April 30 to May 14, this 15-day window provides residents the option to fill out their information from home in any of the 16 available languages before the door-to-door physical survey commences.

The first phase of the census, focusing on house listing and housing data, will run from May 15 to June 13, 2026.
