Chandigarh, March 24 -- Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Tuesday firmly rejected demands for a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the suicide of Warehouse District Manager Gagandeep Singh Randhawa, asserting that the state government has already taken "swift and unprecedented action" in the case.
Addressing a press conference here, Mann said the government had ensured the resignation and arrest of former Transport Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar, and initiated a high-level inquiry led by the Chief Secretary.
