Chandigarh, Aug. 11 -- Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann launched a scathing attack on Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Sukhbir Singh Badal today, daring him to cite a single achievement from the party's decade-long rule in the state from 2007 to 2017.

Addressing a gathering in Sangrur, Mann described this period as the "darkest chapter" in Punjab's history, accusing the Badal-led government of fostering a nexus of transport, cable, sand, drug, and other mafias that plagued the state.
