Kolkata, July 13 -- West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee will hit the streets on July 16 in protest against several allegations of harassment against Bengalis in BJP-ruled states.
The protest march will begin at 1 PM from College Square in North Kolkata and end at Dorina Crossing at Esplanade in Central Kolkata.
Speaking at a press conference on Sunday minister of state for finance (Independent charge) Chandrima Bhattacharya said, "We are shocked-what kind of country is this? If you are a Bengali in a BJP-ruled state, are you no longer a citizen of India? Bengal's identity is being insulted repeatedly, and the central government is encouraging these criminal actions."
