Kolkata, Nov. 24 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday expressed deep shock by the demise of legendary Bollywood actor Dharmendra aged 89.
Dharmendra, Bollywood's 'He-Man', passed away in Mumbai at 89 after a brief illness.
Renowned for a prolific career spanning six decades and over 300 films, including the iconic 'Sholay', the legendary actor leaves an indelible mark on Indian cinema. His final film, 'Ikkis', is slated for release next year.
"Deeply saddened by the demise of the legendary actor-hero Dharmendra ji today in Mumbai. His immense contribution to Indian cinema will continue to inspire generations.." Bengal CM said in a condolence message.
