Bhubaneswar, Feb. 24 -- Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday strongly criticized the Opposition for engaging in what he called "meaningless politics" under the pretext of farmers' issues, disrupting the business of the Odisha Assembly.

Replying to the debate on the Odisha Budget 2026-27, Majhi expressed disappointment, saying the people of Odisha had expected constructive discussion but witnessed repeated obstructions instead.

"The Opposition has deliberately created disruptions rather than presenting their stance, and the public has observed this clearly," he said.

The Chief Minister emphasized that this budget represents the future of Odisha's citizens.
