Ranchi, May 21 -- Leader of the opposition in Jharkhand and state BJP president Babulal Marandi on Wednesday launched a scathing attack on the JMM-led government, alleging Chief Minister Hemant Soren's involvement in the purported liquor scam.

Soren was yet to react to Marandi's allegations.

Addressing a press conference, Marandi said the scam's unfolding revelations suggest a massive liquor scandal, bigger than Delhi's, has taken place in Jharkhand.

He claimed that despite being alerted through a letter on April 19, 2022, about the irregularities in the tender process, Soren failed to take action.
