Mumbai, Aug. 25 -- Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed strong displeasure over delays in the implementation of centrally sponsored public welfare schemes during a review meeting with officials of the Urban Development Department.
He directed that these projects must be expedited and the central funds fully utilised before the end of the financial year.
Highlighting the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT 2.0), Fadnavis noted that the scheme, launched in 2021 and set to conclude in 2026, has an allocation of 9,000 crore for water supply, parks, waterbody rejuvenation, and sewage works.
He instructed officials to speed up project execution to ensure timely completion.
