Anakapalli, Dec. 21 -- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today emphasized the need of making the State plastic-free and called upon people for their cooperation.

The Chief Minister participated in the Swachh Andhra-Swarna Andhra programme at Tallapalem village in Anakapalli district.

Addressing the gathering on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that by June 2026, Andhra Pradesh must become a plastic-free state.

"The government has introduced the Andhra Pradesh Circular Economy and Waste Recycling Policy 2025. Anakapalli district is being developed as an industrial hub. Already, 24,843 acres are being developed for industries at Rambilli, Pudi, Nakkapalli, Valluru, and Makavarapalem," the Chief Minister highlighted.
