New Delhi, July 17 -- Cloudflare Inc., an American giant known for providing content delivery, network services, cybersecurity, and migrations, blocked the largest ever Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attack reaching the mark of 7.3 Terabits per second (Tbps).
A Distributed Denial-of-Service attack is a malicious attempt to disturb the normal traffic of a server. It can also hamper the functioning of a service or network. DDoS attacks are intended to overwhelm the defence system with a flood of internet traffic.
In the latest DDoS attack, Cloudflare highlighted that threat actors now depend on brief bursts of concentrated traffic to create the maximum amount of disruption before the organizational security activates.
