Bhubaneswar, April 15 -- President of the Science for Common People Society (SCOPES), Prof. Uma Charan Mohanty, emphasized the urgent need to bolster agricultural production as climate change is expected to cause significant damage to food security.

Climate change is the biggest challenge humanity is facing today in the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic. It will impact food security, human health, and water resources, he said.

Currently associated with SOA's Centre for Climate Smart Agriculture (CCSA) as a distinguished Professor, Prof. Mohanty also highlighted the importance of generating green and clean energy that does not harm the environment.
