Baijnath, Sept. 18 -- A cleanliness drive was organised at the take-off site of Bir Billing, the world-renowned paragliding destination, in view of the upcoming paragliding season.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate Baijnath and Assistant Commissioner, SADA Bir Billing, Sankalp Gautam informed that around 20 bags of plastic, tetra packs and other waste were collected during the campaign.
He said that Bir Billing is not only a world-class paragliding site but also a major tourist attraction, drawing a large number of visitors from India and abroad every year. Maintaining cleanliness is therefore crucial to provide a hygienic and welcoming environment to tourists, he added.
