Ranchi, Jan. 4 -- In view of the prevailing cold wave and severe winter conditions, the district administration has suspended academic activities in all government, non-government and private schools across Ranchi district from Classes KG to XII for two days.
According to an official order issued under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, teaching work in schools will remain suspended on January 5 and January 6. The decision was taken following a special bulletin issued by the India Meteorological Department, which has placed Ranchi district under the yellow zone, warning of intense cold and cold wave conditions until further orders.
