Ranchi, Jan. 8 -- In view of the warning issued by the Meteorological Department regarding the intensifying cold wave and severe cold conditions, the Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate, Ranchi, Manjunath Bhajantri, has issued an order to suspend classes in all categories of schools across the district.
According to the order, classes from KG to Class XII in all government, government-aided, non-aided (including minority), and private schools operating within Ranchi district shall remain closed from January 9 to 10.
However, during this period, teachers and non-teaching staff working in all government schools are required to mark their attendance mandatorily on the e-Vidyavahini portal and perform assigned non-academic duties.
