Lucknow, Dec. 30 -- A class 9 student was found critically injured on the roadside in the PGI area of Lucknow on Christmas Day, triggering allegations of attempted murder by her family. Police on Tuesday launched an investigation into the incident.
According to the victim's mother, Neetu Singh, a resident of Rajnikhand, Ashiana, her daughter, Mansi, studies in a private school.
On December 25, Mansi received a call from a classmate, Nikhil, who asked permission to take her out, claiming he would be accompanied by his sisters. When the request was initially declined, another friend, Sheeja Srivastava, called and said that she, Aiba Khan, and Mansi would be going out together.
